

He was born October 13, 1957, in Columbia, Missouri to Kenneth W. and Julia (Bennett) Buckler.
He graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia in 1980, with his bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
On April 8, 2001, he married Toni Stark, and she survives.
Survivors also include his children: Alexandra Boucher (husband, Andrew), William Buckler, and Gracelyn Buckler; granddaughter: Emma Boucher; parents: Julia and Kenneth Buckler all of Columbia.
Phillip was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Ann Buckler, grandparents: Charles and Virginia Bennett and Wren and Hattie Buckler, and uncle, Noble Bennett.
There will be a visitation from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Broadway Christian Church, with funeral service to follow at 5:00 pm, Thursday, July 3, 2014, also at Broadway Christian Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Phillip enjoyed woodworking, fly fishing and showing horses. He was a fantastic cook and even better at barbecuing. As a Mizzou alumni, he supported the Tigers, but was also a fan of Hickman High School athletics, St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. He loved vacationing in Hawaii and planned to retire there. Phillip loved his family and cherished his children. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and son.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Gracelyn Monroe Le’i’a Buckler College Fund, or to The Broadway Christian Church Music Scholarship Fund.
