Ralph W. Turner, 91, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away on January 27, 2015 at The Bluffs. Ralph was born October 7, 1923 to William and Bessie Turner in Linn, Missouri. He went to the University of Missouri, where he got his Bachelors in Business. He married Tonie Vaughan, also from Linn, Missouri. Ralph served in the Army during WWII. After the war, he and Tonie settled in Columbia, Missouri, where Ralph began working for Farm Bureau. He then switched to MFA Insurance, now Shelter Insurance, where he retired. Upon retirement, he spent his time planting vegetables and raising cattle on Ben Williams Rd. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Terry Ann Turner; and his five siblings. He is survived by his wife, Tonie; his children: Thomas (Tom) Turner of Chula Vista, CA; Tony Turner of Overland Park, KS; Tim Turner of Portland, OR; and Tracy Turner of Brooklyn, NY; and 3 grandchildren: Emily, William, and Ronan. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home.
