Robert’s parents, Robert and Marie Ambrose, along with his step mother, Martha Ambrose, preceded him in death. Surviving are his sisters: Nonie (Bob) Dudley of Rocheport, MO, Bobbie (Bill) Stein of Belleville, IL, Neda (Denny) Shryock of Columbia, MO, and Mary (Gary) Fitch of Rocheport, MO. He leaves behind, 11 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews, and his fellow residents of his Boone County Group Home on Diego Ct. in Columbia, MO.
Robert Dale attended Wade School and later Woodhaven, both in Columbia. After 35 years of work at CMSE he retired to a daily retiree program there. Throughout his life, Robert Dale , loved meeting new people and could go nowhere in Columbia without running into to someone he knew. Dale was an avid sports fan who, many times, competed in the Special Olympics. He loved watching football and he also enjoyed attending Camp Wonderland in the summer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 1pm at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO. A short chapel service will immediately follow.
