Dr. Robert F. Solorzano, died on March 28, 2016 at his home. His death, like his life, was just as he would have wished. His funeral service will be Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery located 2900 Sheridan Road, on the banks of the Mississippi River in St. Louis, MO 63125.
Dr. Robert F. Solorzano is survived by a loving family and wonderful friends. He was a researcher and a professor of Microbiology at the University of Missouri in Columbia. When he wasn’t travelling the world, dancing, reading, or devouring art and culture in every form he was a lifelong booster of his alma matters City College of New York, the University of Penn State and Georgetown University; and at the University of Missouri he faithfully attended every Tiger basketball game.
“Bob” loved his work, his family, the Catholic Church and his country but his greatest love and overriding passion was for his grandson Roberto Alejandro Walker.
