There are no words to describe her. She was always smiling, always willing to help anyone and she was my locker room mate. We had some good laughs every morning especially making sure we were putting the right clothes on and not walking out without them. She is someone I would call my sister and there is nobody that will ever replace her. Talented is an understatement and so polite. I used to joke with her and tell her no reason to be polite with me and she would just laugh. We would always get the music going just jamming it out I miss her dearly. She will always be a part of the Boone family even though she was a traveler she will be  a boonie forever!!!

One of my earliest memories of Rochelle was when I went over to America to spend time with her and the family. I was still in Primary School and Rochelle taught me the new playground clapping rhymes/songs, which had came out in America but hadn't reached England yet. (i.e. Miss Mary Mack)

I remember returning back to School and bragging about my cousin in America who had taught me these new songs, which I went on to teach all the girls in my primary school. I suddenly became the most popular girl in my year, who had family in America and who knew these new songs, which everyone wanted to learn. 

The last time I visited America was around 9 years ago, Rochelle helped to plan my whole visit, she even drove me and my family from Washington to New York. 

Over the past few years, Rochelle and I have always spoken about her coming to visit us in England, it was something she really wanted to do. I had planned to take her sightseeing as I really wanted to repay her for all the hospitality she had always showed me when I visited her. It's sad to know I will never get that chance. 




My name is Cassandra and I am Rochelle's cousin. I should have been getting married on 9th May 2020 and Rochelle and her family were going to fly over for our wedding in the UK.

She was so excited as she had been wanting to visit her family in the UK for many years, but unfortunately due to Covid 19 we had to postpone the wedding.

I spoke to my dear cousin on the phone just 3 days before she sadly passed away. She was hoping that she would still be able to come over for the wedding when we decided on a new date, we were really looking forward to seeing her.

We spoke for some time, and she was so full of life, happy and yearning to go back to work.

When I learned of her passing three days later I couldn't believe it, I never saw it coming and neither did she.

She was a beautiful, ambitious, hard working, fun, loving and adventurous lady with so many plans for the future.

Rochelle you are greatly missed by all your friends and family, you have gone too soon but only God knows why.

Rest in perfect peace dear cousin. I love you.

I knew  Rochelle because I had worked with her at Boone Hospital as a Registered Nurse in Surgery.  She was EXCELLENT at what she did and everybody took an INSTANT liking to her. Her positive attitude and infectious smile sucked you right in to being a friend. She was always eager to please others and a VERY quick learner in  complex orthopedic procedures. She was very popular with two our  Orthopedic Surgeons and they always asked if they could work with her. We were all very shocked and saddened by her passing as we were all looking forward to her coming back to work when our hospital started doing more cases again. Talent AND personality are sometimes very difficult to come by in our profession. She had both and we will miss her very much. I offer my most sincere and heartfelt condolences.
