Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, with a memorial service following at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date.
She was born on January 2, 1950, in Salem, MO, the daughter of Richard and Marie (Malone) Payne, both of whom preceded her in death. Sharion was married on May 2, 1986, in Columbia, MO, to Terry Nichols, who survives at the home.
She was one of 13 children, so most of her early life revolved around the home and caring for brothers and sisters. She worked as a waitress and server for over 50 years for many places, most recently Golden Corral in Columbia. She also at one time owned her own cleaning business. She loved her family deeply and time spent with them was cherished.
She is survived by: her husband of 32 years, Terry; her children: Glen Payne of Fulton; Tony Nichols of Columbia; and Marc (Denise) Nichols of Harrisburg; 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; siblings: Lucille Givens of Salem, MO; John Payne of Columbus, TX; Mary Martin, Hazel Shaw, David Payne, Joe Payne, all of Salem, MO; Leonard Payne of Columbia, MO; Richard Payne of Melrose, IA; Dorothy Porta of Lonedell, MO; Carl Payne of Salem, MO; Lisa Margaurx of Lonedell, MO; and Tim Payne of Barnhart. She was preceded in death by one son, Irvin Lee Gamblin; daughters-in-law Tina Gamblin and Mary Payne.
