Sherrill Lea Myers

Sherrill Lea Myers, 73, of Columbia passed away Thursday March 24, 2016, with her loving family at her side. A Celebration of Life service will be 5pm, Sunday March 27, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to service.

Sherrill, the oldest of 6, was born September 28, 1942, in Los Angeles, CA to Lloyd B. White and Dorothy ”Alford” White. On October 8, 1960, she married William A Myers in El Monte, CA.

She was preceded in death by her father Lloyd B. White; siblings Sherry Bechtel, Beverly Elsea, and Andy Cantrell Jr; grandchildren Nyssa Myers and Nicholas Klein.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, William Myers Sr, four children Joyce Ann Klein (Greg), of Columbia; William Allen Myers Jr (Shannon), of O’Fallon, MO; Katherine D. Russell, of Steelville, MO; Amy Lea Myers, of Columbia. Mother Dorothy Lea Cantrell, of Columbia, brothers George Cantrell of Nevada, Gary Cantrell of Georgia. Grandchildren: Gregory, Kelsey and Nathaniel Klein; Matthew, Mark, and Cassandra Myers; Stephen Rico; Madison Russell; Anthony (Erin) Myers; Brittany Lipham (Beau); Alex “AJ”, Zachary, Kayley and Caleb Myers. Great-grandchildren Breanna and Bailey Myers, Ashton Myers, Aiden Lipham, and Drake Myers.

Sherrill loved with all she had and to all whose lives she touched – whether family and friends, kids in her Sunday School and “Good News Club” ministry, co-workers, families and inmates as a Social Worker.

She loved photos and scrapbooking; reading; staying in touch with so many thru Facebook; Dancing with the Stars, Family Feud, and Castles; and, especially, family gatherings and games.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
