

Terry was born in Centerville, Iowa and lived in Milan, Missouri most of his younger years. He graduated from Milan High School and Truman State University. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, and while in Law School, he was drafted into the U. S. Army where he was part of the 1st Air Cavalry and did one tour in Vietnam. Upon his discharge, he received his masters degree and then entered politics and was County Clerk of Sullivan County. He later served the Missouri Grand Lodge AF&AM as Grand Secretary. He also taught government for the Columbia Public Schools and retired from there.
He was a member of Victory Church in Columbia and served in the greeters’ ministry. As Victory Church was building their current facility, he would help with the construction, even if it was only moving boards and sweeping the floors. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, you could find him in some neighborhood placing door hangers to invite people to church. He loved playing golf, watching sports and his grandchildren.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Keith Alexander of Lead Hill, AR.
He is survived by his wife, Paula (Robertson) Alexander; children, Scott (Sarah) of Clearwater, FL and Todd (Kelsey) of Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Mikayla; brother, John ‘JB’ (Reina) Alexander of Harrison, AR; sisters, Peggy (Tim) Witt of Oak Grove, MO, Alona Alexander of Harrison, AR, and Sara Alexander of Harrison, AR; as well as many additional loving family and friends.
Services will be held on October 20, 2021, at Victory Church, 1705 N. Ballenger Ln, Columbia, MO 65202. Visitation will be at 10:30am with funeral service to follow at 11:30am. Burial take place at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 1479 County Road 1675, Jacksonville, MO 65260.
