He was born to Terry and Cheryl Barnes on January 8, 1988, in Columbia, Missouri.
On July 15, 2017, Tyler married the love of his life, Belinda (Babb) Barnes and from that union they had one child, Lucas Barnes.
Tyler graduated from Rockbridge High School in 2006 and then went on to graduate from Linn Tech with an associates degree in Diesel Mechanics in 2008. Most recently, he worked at OneOK as a pipeline operator and prior to that he worked at Sydenstricker. In high school he was active in FFA raising cattle and pigs and received The American Farmers Degree. Tyler was passionate about Tractor pulling and did so with The Missouri Farm Pullers and Mid Missouri Truck and Tractor Association. A hard worker through and through, Tyler gave his all each day. After long hours at work, he would come home and head straight to the farm to help his father, never complaining, always showing up. His work ethic, loyalty, and quiet strength reflected the kind of man he was.
Above all, Tyler loved his family, especially his 'Little Buddy,' Lucas. The bond they shared was unbreakable. Whether they were riding in the orange Jeep, on the tractor with Lucas perched on his daddy’s lap, or in anything with a motor, Lucas was always by Tyler’s side. Their adventures together were full of joy, laughter, and love.
Tyler’s legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, and in the heart of a little boy who will always know how deeply he was loved by his dad.
His memory will be cherished by his parents, Terry and Cheryl Barns; wife, Belinda Barnes; son, Lucas Barnes; brother, Brandon Barnes; mother and father in law, Edward and Brenda Babb; brother and sister in laws, Kevin and Jennifer Dubbert, and Jason and Katie Babb; aunts and uncles, Cindy and Jim Miller, Linda and Stanley Lynn, Jerry and Tina Barnes; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
Tyler was proceeded in death by his grandparents Cecil and Helen Barnes, and George Wainscott.
Memorial Donations can be made to Belinda Barnes, to go towards a scholarship fund for their son, Lucas.
