Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Willie was born February 17, 1937 in Coleridge, Nebraska the daughter of Richard Meier and Minna (Steffen) Meier, who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on February 18, 1955 in Coleridge, NE to LaVern “Poncho” Louis Provancha, who preceded her in death last November.
Survivors include three daughters, Jenine Loesing of Columbia, Jeanette Barnhart of Columbia, and Jan Asbury (Doug) of Fayette; a son, Arlen Provancha (Christia) of Perry, MO; eight grandchildren, MariBeth (Joshua) Couch, Brock Loesing, Cheri (Roger) Provancha, Sean (Kristina) Provancha, Courtney (Caleb) McBride, Christopher (Amanda) Barnhart, Alaina (Chadd) Fuemmeler, and Canaan (Julia) Asbury; ten great-grandchildren, Henry Couch, Caytlyn Provancha, Brianna Provancha, Dillon Provancha, Blake Barnhart, Connor Barnhart, Noah Barnhart, Adelynn McBride, Nora Fuemmeler, and Ian Fuemmeler; one brother, Merlin “Fuzz” Meier, three sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Willie was preceded in death by her son, Louis Provancha; and siblings, James Meier, Loyd Meier, Richard Meier, and Ida Searls.
Willie worked for over 25 years in the Hallsville School’s food service program; Starting as the baker and finishing her career as the manager for the food service program. She was known for her cinnamon rolls and always having room under her table for one more pair of feet.
