

William Fuchs was born February 6, 1931, in St. Louis, MO; the youngest of three sons to George Joseph and Helen Fuchs. He was a 1948 graduate of Western Military Academy in Alton, IL. In 1952, he graduated from Missouri. While at Mizzou, he played football for the Tigers all four years. He spent 2 years in the USAF stationed at Edwards Air Force Base. In 1954 he attended St Louis University School Dentistry graduating in 1958. Bill then began his dental practice in Columbia, MO. He retired after 37 years. He loved spending time on his farm, reading, and telling stories about his family history.
He is survived by his son; Dr. Kenneth Fuchs & wife Cyndi of Columbia; grandchildren, Whitney (Andy) Lyle, Nicolas Fuchs, Eric (Emily) Fuchs, Kylianne Fuchs, Hilary Morrissey, Haley (Zebulon) Williams, and Hannah (Brandon) Zeciri; seven great-grandchildren, Mason, Friday, Parker, Autumn, Zuzu, Riley, and Adem; a son-in-law, Keith Morrissey; and his cat, Rufus. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Barbara Fuchs; a daughter, Cindy Morrisey; two brothers, George and Bob Fuchs; his second wife, Betty Hargis, and his parents.
