

Alice was born on October 6, 1924 to Alonzo (Lonnie) Burns and Inez Sterling Burns in West Monroe, LA. She graduated from Columbia High School, in Columbia, MS, where she met Ray E. McDaniel. They married in April of 1944. They moved to Pascagoula, MS in 1953. Together they raised two children. Alice was a long-time and faithful member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City, TN. She loved her Lord and never missed an opportunity to tell people about Him in some way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father Alvin Gurney Hutto, Sr.; her siblings Princess Robertson, W. C. "Dub" Burns, Carl D. Burns, and Fred Hutto; and her husband, Ray, who passed away in 1986. She is survived by her two children, Lonnie Michael McDaniel and Lana Raye McDaniel Younger; her six grand children, Matthew McDaniel (Natalie), Rebekah McDaniel, Nathan McDaniel, Michael Todd Taylor (Amber), Timothy Ray Younger, and Robert Anthony Younger; 3 great grandsons and one great-great grandson; and her brother, Alvin Gurney Hutto (Gail).
A visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021 followed by a graveside service led by Dr. J. Roy McComb at Woodlawn Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
