Mrs. Alvie Bryant Brown, age 92 of Columbia, MS died Friday, July 31, 2020 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, MS. She was a nurse’s aide and a member of Pine Burr Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husbands, J.V. Bryant, and John Henry Brown; son, Joseph Vander Bryant; parents, Harvey Sylvester Johnson and Carzella Breakfield Johnson; sister, Donze Blum; brothers, Joe Glen Johnson, and Man Johnson; and grandson, Adam Bryant. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Bryant Wilcher; a sister, Carnell Lingerfelt; brother, Arvil Johnson; four grandchildren, Michelle Bryant, Arron Bryant, James Wilcher, and Joseph Wilcher; eleven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. A visitation for Mrs. Brown will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00pm on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
