Ann Moore Haddox entered her heavenly home to receive her eternal reward on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the age of 85. She was a lifetime resident of Marion County where she spent her time with her family and being a faithful servant of the Lord. Mrs. Ann spent her career of over 50 years working for Griner Drilling Service. Her job and coworkers held a special place in her heart and brought her much joy. She was a member of Improve Baptist Church, where she was an active part of a ladies Sunday school class. She was an avid reader and had the great accomplishment of reading her bible in its entirety many times. Her greatest joy and blessing were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She actively attended their events and was their biggest fan and supporter. Mrs. Ann was also an excellent cook who was famously known for her divinity.
She joins many loved ones as they share their everlasting home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Lutia Moore; sister, Delores Baughman; brother, Floyd Moore; beloved husband, Roy Haddox; and treasured grandson, Casey Roy Haddox.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Haddox; sister, Sue Beets; brothers, Oscar Kenneth Moore (Helen) and George Moore (Charree); grandchild, LeAnne Haddox Harvey (Randy); great-grandchildren, Casey Haddox Harvey, Heidi Faith Harvey, Jessie Harvey, and Robbie Terrell; along with many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
There will be a funeral service, officiated by Doctor George Moore and Reverend Darel Daniels, for Mrs. Ann at Improve Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 12:00pm. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00am until service time. Burial will follow in the Kendrick Family Cemetery assisted by Mike Moore, Tony Baughman, Wesley Hoffman, Michael Moree, Joe Loftin, and Rick Hall serving as pallbearers. Ben Lott and Daniel Stringer will serve as honorary pallbearers.
