Bernadita Cruz Santos

Bernadita Cruz Santos, of Sandy Hook, Mississippi, passed from this life into God’s presence on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the age of 86. She was born in Oka Tamuning, Guam to Jose and Maria Cruz. Prior to moving to Sandy Hook six years ago, Bernadita lived in Montery, California for 35 years where she worked in the hotel industry. She was a devout Catholic of deep faith and loved her family with great passion. Bernadita will be remembered for her love of cooking and the enjoyment she received from feeding her family and friends many wonderful and delicious meals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Olivia Cruz and Florencia Castro; two brothers, Francisco Cruz and Juan Cruz; two sons, Jaime Santos, Sr. and Joseph Santos; two grandsons, Jaime Santos, Jr. and Warren Santos; and her husband Joaquin Santos.

Bernadita is survived by a daughter, Cynthia (John) McGee; a granddaughter raised as a daughter, Nichole Jackson; four sons, Thomas (Luisa) Santos, Frankie (Mae) Santos, Bill (Jennifer) Santos, and Enrique Santos; a brother, Enrique (Julia) Cruz; and a legacy of 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-grand-children.

The funeral services for Bernadita will be private.
