OBITUARY

Billy A. Regan

Billy A. Regan, of Columbia, MS, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the age of 82. Born in Columbia, Mr. Regan traveled the world in military service and served during the Vietnam Conflict. After retiring from the Air Force, he returned to Columbia where he worked selling building materials and was a member of First Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and for being a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who was devoted to family. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Regan and Dan Reagan; a great-granddaughter, Rose Herrin; and two sons-in-law, Ed Beets, Jr. and Byron Herrin. Mr. Regan is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Kay Regan; three daughters, Billie Kay Beets, Kathy Herrin, and Cindy Howard and husband, Jeff; two sons, Tom Regan and wife, Kim, and Don Regan and wife, Jodie; eleven grandchildren, Chris Herrin and wife, Brittany, Allen Regan and wife, Kendall, Amy Anderson and husband, Ritch, Regan Howard and wife, Gracie Duffin, Stephen Howard, Zach Regan and wife, Randi, Devon Mayfield and wife, Mandy, Andy Beets and wife, Laken, Christina Herrin, Nick Regan and Rachel Regan; and eight great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation for Mr. Regan on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. The funeral service will be at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel officiated by Dr. Bryant Barnes. Burial will follow in Columbia City Cemetery.
