On Thursday, November 5, 2026, Brydon Joseph Walley, of the New Hope Community in Mississippi, unexpectedly passed from this life into the presence of God at the age of 18. He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Chad and Edie Walley and has been a lifelong resident of Marion County. Brydon was a senior at West Marion High School where he participated in band, archery, and golf and was active with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was member of Foxworth First Baptist Church where he was a key leader in the youth group. When Brydon gave his heart to the Lord, he boldly proclaimed the Gospel of Christ and was never afraid to share his faith in Jesus. He had a passion for working on automobiles and especially liked old trucks. He was outgoing, fun loving, and never met a stranger. Brydon was kind, giving, and had a big heart. He was an awesome big brother who had a unique ability to make people laugh, feel welcome, and included in any group. Although the grief of his unexpected passing is great, the family is comforted in the knowledge that he is now worshiping at the feet of his Lord and that one day they will all be reunited.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ed Walley and his maternal grandfather, J.D. Fufrene. Brydon is survived by his parents, Chad and Edie Walley; his sister, Kylee Walley; paternal grandmother, Betty Walley; maternal grandmother, Delores Dufrene; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
There will be a visitation for Brydon at Foxworth First Baptist Church on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Friends may also visit with the family on Monday, November 9, 2026, from 9:00am until the funeral service begins at 11:00am. The funeral service will be officiated by Reverend Jonathan Pittman and Reverend Tyler Chavis. He will be laid to rest in the Kokomo Community Cemetery.
