C. M. Roberts

C. M. Roberts, of Foxworth, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the age of 83. He was born in Marion County where he remained a lifelong resident. Mr. Roberts retired from Pearl River Valley Electric Power Association and was an active member of Foxworth First Baptist Church. He enjoyed time spent in his garden growing vegetables and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Marie Holmes; his parents, Charlie Mae and Polly Roberts; a sister, Bernice McCraw; two brothers, Henry Dale Roberts and Vernell Roberts and a son-in-law, Bruce Magee. Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen Roberts; two daughters, Deborah Magee and Michelle Powell and her husband, Greg; a son, Paul Roberts; two sisters, Norma Carr and Theresa Popwell and her husband, James; a brother, Lavell Roberts and his wife Lorraine; six grandchildren, Trelys Magee, Kelly Roberts, Ramsey Roberts, Matthew Holmes, Logan Powell and Paxton Powell and seven great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation for Mr. Roberts from 5:00pm until 9:00pm on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home. The service will be Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Foxworth Cemetery.
