Carolee worked in administration with the Marion County Sheriff's Office for several years and was a member of Mays Creek Church of God. She enjoyed many leisure activities in life including traveling to the casinos which she emphatically enjoyed. However, Carolee's greatest enjoyment and treasure was her family, especially her grandchildren who she unconditionally loved.
Carolee is survived by her husband, Anthony Maliden; her son, Tyler Smith (Brittany); her mother, Ramona Forbes (Ken); sisters, Sabrina Jones (Robbie Ness), and Crystal Turnage (Aaron); her best friend, Jan Clark; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Bedwell and Elsie Bedwell.
Visitation will be held at Mays Creek Church of God in Foxworth, MS on January 12, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm. Reverend Wade Barnes will officiate and burial will follow at Thomas Cemetery in Foxworth assisted by
Coby Pounds, Cary Blansett, Stephen Holden, Robbie Ness, Mark Bedwell, and Hawk Bedwell serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers, Justin McKenzie, Ken McKenzie, Ed Watson, and David Clark.
