Carrie Ann "Kim" Kennedy

On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, Carrie Ann "Kim" Kennedy, of the Pine Burr Community in Mississippi, passed from this life into God's presence at the age of 53. She was born in Columbia, Mississippi to James and Rita Henderson, was a graduated of East Marion High School, and has remained a lifelong resident of Marion County. Kim had a bubbly personality and a smile that would light up any room she walked into. She loved music and loved to sing. If you knew Kim, you would also know that she loved kids and loved teaching. She was selfless, giving, and a mother to all who came through her home. Kim was a godly woman of deep faith who served her community and her Lord through her membership with Pine Burr Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Although the grief over her passing is great, the family is comforted in the knowledge that Kim is worshiping at the feet of her Lord and that one day they will join her in the fullness of God's Glory.

Kim is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Jerry Kennedy; three daughters, Carly Dantin, Laken Edwards, and Dessa Kennedy; three sons, Joey Dantin (Abby), Neil Nunez (Skylor), and Josiah Kennedy; her parents, James and Rita Henderson; four sisters, Ann Moody (Matthew), Ka'Ren Johnson (Benjamin), Diane Kennedy (Herbert), and Jessica Delancey (Jon); four grandchildren, Riverlyn Graham, Raelyn Graham, Stetson Dantin, Knox Lee Johnson, and one on the way.

There will be a visitation for Kim at Pine Burr Church of the Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend W.D. Hibley and Dustin Hibley will be at the church on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 12:00pm where friends may visit with the family from 10:00am until service time. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery assisted by Wesley Kennedy, Mickey Moody, Jordan Johnson, Brenton Moody, Will Hibley, Jon Delancy, Brandon Johnson, Lynel Dauphin, and Cody Moody serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her three sons, Joey, Neil, and Josiah.
