Charles L. Stogner, of Columbia, Mississippi, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 27, 2020 at the age of 83. He was a lifelong resident of Marion County and worked as a saw-filer with Georgia-Pacific. Charles was a loving, caring husband and man of God who was a member of North Columbia Church of God where he served for many years as choir director. He and his wife also shared a singing ministry for many years in numerous churches throughout the region. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ivy Stogner; a sister, three brothers, and a grandson, Chris Peavy Tullos. Charles is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Stogner; a daughter, Susan Gail Bourgoyne; step-daughter, Deb Miller; a step-son, David Peavy; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service officiated by O.H. Austin at 1:30pm on Thursday, April 30, 2020 in Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia.
