Claiborne Leonard Gregoire, a resident of Antioch, TN for the past 26 years, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the age of 80. Mr. Gregoire was born in Frost, LA and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Police Sgt. with Denham Springs Police Department for 10 years prior to moving to the Nashville area in 1993. For the next fifteen years he worked as a security guard Captain with Special Security Services. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed woodworking and spent many hours creating walking canes and knife handles. Mr. Gregoire will be remembered as a great story teller with a wonderful since of humor who deeply loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norwood Gregoire, Sr. and Garnette LaCombe; two sisters, Nancy Brumbaugh and Cynthia Gaudet; and two grandchildren, Christian Gregoire and Chase Gregoire. Mr. Gregoire is survived by his wife, Deborah Gregoire; children, Aprille Story and husband Randy, Cody Gregoire and wife Amy, Lachelle Wentworth and husband Tommy, and Bridget Carver; a sister, Lillie Lowery and husband Mike; brothers, Ronnie Gregoire and Norwood Gregoire, Jr. and wife Debra; grandchildren, Brittany Robinson and husband Nick, Trevor Gregoire, Amber Jetton and husband Ricky, Kattie Holland, Josh Holland and Lauren Dearing; nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his faithful furbaby companion, Charlee. The visitation for Mr. Gregoire will be on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 10:00am until 8:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS. The funeral service will be at 10:00am on Saturday, August 24, 2019 in the funeral home chapel where friends and family can visit from 8:00am until service time. Burial will follow in the Fortenberry Family Cemetery in Foxworth, MS.
