On Friday, October 16, 2026, Claudia Terry, of Foxworth, Mississippi, went home to be with her Lord at the age of 91. She was born at home in Walthall County, Mississippi to Seaborn "Seab" and Annette Reid and has remained a lifelong resident of the Pine Grove Community. Granny, as she was known to most, was a woman of deep faith who served her Lord and her community through her longtime membership with Pine Grove United Pentecostal Church and her current church, Monticello United Pentecostal Church. With the exception of her many trips to Branson, Missouri, Granny's life revolved around her family and her church. She loved the fellowship with her church family, but her greatest delight was time with her family. If you knew Granny, you would know that she was an excellent cook and she loved preparing meals for family gatherings. The family takes comfort in the knowledge that she is experiencing the fullness of God's glory and that one day they will all be reunited.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Iva Nell Reid and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Terry. Granny is survived by her children, Roma Corkern (Jerry), Ricky Terry, Rhonda Rocko (Rocky), and Randall Terry (Hulene); two sisters, Ann Alexander (Aaron) and Sherry Lynn Alexander (Thurl); eleven grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation for Granny at Pine Grove United Pentecostal Church on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 11:00am until 3:00pm. The funeral service will follow at 3:00pm and she will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
