Donis Pittman, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away at the age of 74 after an eighteen month long battle with cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Marion County and retired from West Marion High School where she worked as the assistant manager of the cafeteria. Donis will be remembered for the love she had for her family, the enjoyment of cooking, and just “being on the go.” She was preceded in death by her parents, Odis and Irene McCain; two sisters, Bonnie McCain and Diane McKenzie; a brother, David McCain; and a daughter, Tina Louise Williamson. Donis is survived by a daughter, Belinda Pittman; a sister, Elaine Pounds; a brother, Jimmy McCain and his wife, Felicia; two grandchildren, Colby Wilson and Kailey (Aaron Lewis) Pittman; a great-grandson, Grayson Lane McDaniel; and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral services for Donis will be private.
