Frances Bourne

Frances Bourne, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed from this life into God’s presence on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the age of 80. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona on May 10, 1941 to Harmon and Anna Ham and has been a resident of Marion County since 1966. Frances was a woman of faith and served her community and her Lord through her membership in Goss Baptist Church. She was very active in her church and especially enjoyed the quilting club, Stitches of Love. Frances was devoted to her family and leaves a legacy of faith. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and one brother; a son, Glenn Bourne; and two grandsons, Kurt Bourne and Kenneth Hedgepeth. Frances is survived by her husband, Frank Bourne; a daughter, Brenda Hedgepeth (Ken); a son, Ben Bourne (Leigh); a sister, Kathy Woods; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Mark McArthur, will be at the graveside in Society Hill Cemetery at 10:00am on Monday, August 23, 2021. Nathan Bourne, Adam Bourne, Jerry Bourne, Isaac Hitt, Jesse Hedgepeth, and John Hedgepeth will assist as pallbearers.
