Harold W. Tolar, age 90 passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at his residence in Columbia, MS. He was a 1947 graduate of Columbia High School and attended Soule Business College in New Orleans, LA. Harold was a supervisor with E.I. DuPont and retired in 1991 after 26 years of employment. He was a member of East Columbia Baptist Church and was a longtime member of Gideons International.
Mr. Tolar was preceded in death by his wife, Edra Davis Tolar; son, Philip Tolar; parents, Albert Richard Tolar and Louise Jones Tolar; and brother, Albert Raymond Tolar. He is survived by his sons, Larry W. Tolar and wife Joanie, of Ponchatoula, LA, and Michael T. Tolar and wife Allyson, of Picayune, MS; a brother, Louis Tolar and wife Tommie, of Hattiesburg, MS; three grandchildren, Amanda T. StGermain, Timothy A. Tolar, and Eric W. Tolar; two great-grandchildren, Archer StGermain, and Andrew StGermain; and a sister-in-law, Margie Tolar of Belle Chasse, LA.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia where family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
