Harry J. Bennett

Harry J. Bennett, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born in Marion County to Homer and Faye Bennett where he has remained a lifelong resident. A hard worker known for his work ethic, Harry was an electrician and worked for many years in the heating and air conditioning industry. He had many skills and was good at all trades. Harry was known for his ability to build and repair anything. He served his community and his Lord through his membership with Improve Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Fredna Hinsdell; a brother, Ray Bennett; and his wife Carolyn Bennett. Harry is survived by his son, Nathan (Melissa) Bennett; two grandchildren, Kaitlin (Allen) Burrell and Justin (Shanna) Bennett; and six great-grandchildren, Emmi Burrell, Alli Burrell, Rance Burrell, Ramie Burrell, Weston Bennett, and Walker Bennett.

The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Darel Daniels, will be at the graveside in Improve Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 9:00am.
