Hilda C. Freeman, of Lumberton, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born in Tylertown, Mississippi to Hubert and Edwina Culpepper. Hilda lived a simple life and enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her dogs. She loved her family and served her Lord within the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Everette Culpepper and Charles Culpepper. Hilda is survived by a son, ZJ “Pud” Freeman (Rhonda); two grandchildren, Dustin Freeman and Courtney Freeman (Jared Clingon); and two great-grandchildren, Lex Clingon and Eli Clingon.
The funeral service will be at the graveside in Woodlawn Cemetery on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 10:00am where she will be laid to rest.
