Hilda Stogner, age 69 passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at her residence in Columbia, MS. Hilda was a native of Columbia and worked as a manager with Wal-Mart, Inc. where she retired after 25 years. She was of the Pentecostal faith most recently attended Bunker Hill Baptist Church.
Ms. Stogner was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Stogner, Sr.; and parents, Estus Foster and Rachel Jerrell Foster. She is survived by her sons, Shelby Stogner, Jr. and his wife Misti, of Columbia, and Scott Stogner and his wife Kaitlyn, of Brandon, MS; five sisters, Shirley Childers of Birmingham, AL, Fannie Sistrunk and her husband Tex, Doris Stogner, both of Columbia, Donnis Herrin and her husband Sherel, of Collins, MS, and Diane Evans and her husband Don, of Mer Rouge, LA; four brothers, Estus Foster, Jr. and his wife Debbie, of Louisville, KY, Charles Foster and his wife Jean of Valdosta, GA, Ray Foster and his wife Judy, and Floyd Foster, both of Columbia; and five grandchildren, Madysen Stogner, Ella Stogner, Elijah Stogner, Micah Stogner, and Brittany Stogner.
Ms. Stogner’s family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home, 323 Second St, in Columbia. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the funeral home where friends may visit with family from 11:00 AM until service time. Reverend Cory Odom will preside over services and interment will follow at Foxworth Cemetery.
