James Allen "Satch" Kelly

James Allen “Satch” Kelly, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at the age of 61. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and has been a resident of Marion County for the past 40 years. Satch was a logger and has worked with numerous logging companies in the region. He loved working and was a “jack of all trades” who could build or repair anything. Satch loved his family and was devoted to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his generosity and could always be counted on to help others in need. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Kelly; his mother, Charlene Bollman; a sister, E Toy Kelly; and two brothers, Charles R. Kelly and Glen Kelly. Satch is survived by his wife, Lisa Kelly; three daughters, Donna (Jessie Davis) Kelly, Annie May (Matt) Rawls, and Charlene Kelly; a son, Jessie L. Kelly; four brothers, Kevin Graff, Keith Graff, Jessie B. Kelly, and Dennis Wayne Bollman; and seven grandchildren, Liam Davis, Sawyer Rawls, Samantha “K K” McRaney, Jackson McRaney, Sarah Rawls, Shannon Rawls, and Randy Rawls. There will be a visitation for Satch from 5:00pm until 9:00pm on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at the graveside in Community Church of Jesus Christ Cemetery on Columbia-Purvis Road at 12:00pm on Monday, December 14, 2020. Burial will follow the graveside service.
