Janice Foster

January 31, 1945June 19, 2019

Janice Foster, of Columbia, MS, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the age of 74. Born in New Orleans, LA, she was a longtime resident of Marion County. Mrs. Foster was a homemaker, devoted to her family and a member of Goss Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “RC” Foster; parents, John and Eva May; six brothers, Jack May, Johnny May, Redgie May, Joe May, Charles May and Cecil May. Mrs. Foster is survived by a daughter, Eva Pierce and husband, Jody of Columbia; two sons, John Richard Foster of Columbia and Mark Foster and wife, Heather of Gulfport; two sisters, Betty Crawley of Florence, MS and Emma Dufrene and husband, "JR" of Lockport, LA; two brothers, James May and wife, Carol of Columbia and David May and wife, Roseann of Atoka, TN; and two grandchildren, Hayes Foster and Anna Leigh Foster. The visitation will be from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 22, 2019 officiated by Reverend Mark McArthur and Reverend Thomas Thurman. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
