Mrs. Jimmie Noble Dunaway, of Columbia, MS, passed away at the age of 84 in Mandeville, LA on Saturday, October 12, 2019 after battling Alzheimer’s. Mrs. Dunaway, a longtime resident of Columbia, worked with Polk Construction Corporation for 25 years and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was devoted to her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose home was always open for family and friends to gather. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ben Dunaway and three sisters. Mrs. Dunaway is survived by two daughters, Angelia Bourgeois and Noel Noble Matthews; two sons-in-law, C. J. Bourgeois and Joseph Matthews; five grandchildren, Courtney, Michael, Kevin, Kai and Muirenn; and four great-grandchildren, Landon, Ashton, Charlie and Eli. There will be a visitation from 10:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel officiated by Father Tommy Conway. The burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery assisted by C. J. Bourgeois, LTC Joseph Matthews, Ralph Franks, Michael Bourgeois, Kevin Bourgeois and Landon Hammond serving as pallbearers.
