Jimmy W. “Jim” Williams, Sr., of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed from this life on Sunday, April 07, 2019 at the age of 77. Jim was born and raised in Farmerville, Louisiana, lived in Baton Rouge where he worked until his retirement from the natural gas pipeline industry and has been a resident of Foxworth since 2010. He actively served his Lord through local churches wherever he lived and currently was a member of Pine Grove United Pentecostal Church. Jim, who was known as “The Jambalaya King,” enjoyed cooking and used his gift for many benefits and fundraisers for his church and community. Jim will be remembered for great conversations over a good cup of coffee that would leave a smile on your face. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Crawford Williams; parents, Burl and Ola Williams and a brother, Kenneth Malcom “Skip” Williams. Jim is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Holmes and husband, David; a son, Jimmy Wayne Williams, Jr. and wife, Christine; a sister, Judy Read and husband, Stanley; a brother, Bruce Williams and wife, Darlene; four grandchildren, Tyler Phillips, Joshua Holmes, Courtney Tidwell and Kristin Sullivan; five great-grandchildren, Colby, Emmitt, Mason, Kylie and Maverick and a host of nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation for Jim on Monday, April 8, 2019 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Pine Grove United Pentecostal Church in Foxworth. The funeral service will be at the church on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 2:00pm where friends and family may visit from 9:00am until service time. The service will be officiated by Reverend Darrin Powell and Reverend Joshua Pierce. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove church cemetery with the assistance of pallbearers, Michael McDaniel, Mitchell McDaniel, Darrell Bracey, Derek Bracey, Heath Keen and Dewayne Hamilton.
