JoAn Burge

Mrs. JoAn Burge, age 80 passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. A native of Marion County, MS and longtime resident of the Pine Burr community, she was a seamstress by trade and also worked in various retail positions, and was a member of Pine Burr Baptist Church. JoAn loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Burge was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Burge; son, Barry J. Burge; great-grandson, Beau Masen Dupuy; parents, Jodie Johnson and Ruby Herrin Johnson; sister, Jeanie Brumfield; and brother, Ray Johnson. She is survived by her sons, Phil Burge and his wife Vickie, and Jerry L. Burge; a brother, Randall Johnson and his wife Tammy; six grandchildren, Megan Lowery and her husband Brandon, Brandy Dupuy and her husband Blake, Gavin Burge, Cody Burge, Paxton Burge, and Payton Burge; and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for JoAn will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the Burge Family Cemetery in the Pine Burr community where Reverend Jimmy Johnson will preside over services.
