Kevin Ly

Kevin Ly, of Columbia, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the age of 36. He was a lifelong resident of Columbia and a graduate of Columbia High School where he played in the band and played on the basketball team. Known as the “Pipe Doctor,” Kevin worked as a pipefitter at oil refineries. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where he was recently baptized. Kevin was a “Jack of All Trades” and would help anyone who had a need. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his ability to always make people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sen Thach and Ngul Ly; and his maternal grandparents, Nellie Mae and Gaston Delancey. Kevin is survived by five children, Logan Ly, Kylie Ly, Addie Ly, Kyros Ly, and Emma Ly; his parents, Rinh and Carol Ly; two sisters, Kristy (Erik) Ly and Angelia (Tyler) Dawsey; two brothers, Anthony (Nga) Ly and Corey (Hannah) Ly and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

There will be visitation for Kevin at Colonial Funeral Home from 12:00pm until 4:00pm on Friday, February 18, 2022. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Lloyd Thompson, will follow in the funeral home chapel at 4:00pm. Logan Ly, Trevor Dawsey, Hayden Adkins, Keaton Herring, Kohl Herring, and Colton Dawsey will serve as honorary pallbearers.
