L. D. Hunt

Mr. L. D. Hunt, age 80 passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Marion General Hospital in Columbia, MS. He was a longtime resident of Columbia and formerly worked as a guard with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.

Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his son, James Hunt; parents, Lucious Douglas Hunt and Nelly Terrell Hunt; and sister, Mary Reynolds. Survivors include his daughter, Mary Ann Hollie of Columbia; a son, Bradley Hunt of Columbia; a sister, Juanita Fish of Georgia; a brother, Hubert Boyles of Alabama; the mother of his children, Charlotte Ann Hunt; five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia where family will receive friends from 1:00pm until service time.
