Larry A. Harrell, of Bassfield, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the age of 74. Born in Broward County, Florida to Jesse and Mamie Harrell, he moved to Mississippi 1978 and has been a resident of Marion County since 1992. Larry was a U.S. Army veteran who served our country during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a cable technician and work over 35 years with a cable company that would eventually become Charter Cable Company. Known to be stubborn and hard-headed, Larry was also loving and caring. He was devoted to his family and worked hard to provide for them. He was equally known for his love of good food and sharing hearty meals with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Harrell. Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Toni Harrell; two daughters, Kaydence Harrell and Bailey Harrell; a son, Alex Harrell (Elizabeth); a step-daughter, Wendy Davis; a step-son, Dustin Davis; a sister, Cathy Toms; and three grandchildren, Caleb Harrell, Cody Harrell, and Cullen Harrell.
There will be a funeral service for Larry at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 6, 2024 in the chapel of Colonial Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00pm until the service time.
