Linda Forbes Bracey, age 73 passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025 at her residence in Foxworth, MS. She was a member of Woodlawn Church and a teacher assistant at West Marion Primary Schools where she retired after 15 years of employment.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her humble and selfless nature was evident through the love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bracey was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Bracey; her son, Jonathan Bracey; and parents, Jonas Forbes and Pauline Frances Forbes.
She is survived by her son, Chris Bracey (Samantha); a sister, Margie Ulmer (Pete); a brother, Frank Forbes (Joan); three grandchildren, Lauren Bracey, Sara Bracey Hall (Tyler), and Hagen Bracey (Allana); and four great-grandchildren, Sawyer Barrett, Tatum Barrett, Locklyn Hall, and Blakely Hall.
Family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Reverend Stephen Binion and Reverend Clyde Clark will officiate and burial will follow at Hurricane Creek Cemetery in Sandy Hook, MS assisted by Andrew Forbes, Scott Forbes, Jacob Fortenberry, Garath Fortenberry, Jason McKenzie, and Joe Bracey serving as pallbearers.
