Linda Wells Helveston, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020 at the age o 77. She has been a resident of Marion County for the past 40 years and was known as a sweet, God fearing, caring person who was an excellent seamstress and cook. Linda will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was totally devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by husband, Arnold Helveston; a daughter, Earline Helveston; her parents, Henry and Etta Wells; two sisters, Esther Holmes and Jerry Lowe; and a brother, Sonny Wells. Linda is survived by three daughters, Tina McCraw, Evelyn Marie Moore, and Linda (Robert) Newcomer; five sons, Eddie A. Helveston, James A. Helveston, Jimmy P. Helveston, Benny Blansett, and Charles Ray (Chassity) Walters; two brothers, James (Rebecca) Wells, Billy (Glenda Lowery) Wells; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. There will be a memorial service for Linda at her residence on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 2:00pm.
