Mark Givens

Mark Givens, age 63 of Westwego, LA passed away Monday, December 8, 2025 at Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, LA. He was the son of the late James Edward Givens, Sr. and Pearline Alexander Givens, a graduate of Hinds Community College, and of the Baptist faith. Mark was formerly employed with Scott Paper in Hattiesburg, MS before moving to Louisiana where he started his own graphics business. Outside of his professional career, Mark enjoyed cooking and farming cattle, a hobby he learned in FFA, especially when showing cattle.

Mark is survived by his brother, James E. Givens, Jr. (Barbara) of Jayess. He was also an uncle to James E. Givens, III (Samantha) and Kolby Givens. His great-nephews include Alexander Givens, Dalton Givens, Lucas Givens, Gunnar Givens, and Wacey Givens. Mark's best friend was Bruce Orgeron.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at Sauls Valley Cemetery in Jayess, MS where friends are invited to gather at 1:30pm to visit with family.
