Marshall Johnson

Marshall L. Johnson of Hendersonville, TN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26, 2023 in Columbia, MS. He was 96 years old. Born in Nashville, TN, to the late James and Dorothy(Bayless) Johnson. Marshall was preceded in death by wife Jo Ann(Rives) Johnson. He was a resident of The Myrtles Nursing Home in Columbia, MS for the last five years.

He is survived by one brother, William Johnson, of Jacksonville, FL; two children, Kit (Jerry) Marable of Columbia, MS and Marc Johnson of Dixon Springs, TN; daughter-in-law, Dawn Brooks of Hendersonville, TN; four grandchildren, Julie (C.J.) Johnson of London, England, Matthew (Abby) Johnson of Dixon Springs, TN, Christopher (Erica) of Charlotte, TN. and Jennifer McKnight of Hendersonville, TN and a host of great-grandchildren.

In 1990, Marshall retired from Lee Company after 30 years of service as a heating/air and refrigeration specialist. He was a simple man who worked hard, known for his positivity (never-complaining), kindness and humor who, also, was a Jesus-loving, John Wayne watching, Southern Gentlemen.

A visitation for Marshall will be held Friday, September 01, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.

Following the visitation there will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Bro. Ken Castleberry officiating.
