Patricia J. Ellzey
September 15, 1947 – April 11, 2019
Patricia J. Ellzey, age 71, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. Born in Columbia, MS and longtime resident of Oak Vale, MS, Patricia was the former personnel director for the Edison Walthall Hotel in Jackson, MS. She was a member of North Columbia Baptist Church. Patricia loved her flowers and especially her pets as her devoted Jack Russell dog, Chloe, will be laid to rest with her. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Ms. Ellzey was preceded in death by her parents, Burnice and Alavene Dixson. She is survived by three daughters, Monica Broom, Georgia Ellzey Stampley, and Megan Ellzey; a son, Richard (Lisa) Ellzey; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 12:00pm until 1:30pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia and graveside services will begin at 2:00pm at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia with Pastor Jason Capers presiding.

MS. ELLZEY WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS, BURNICE AND ALAVENE DIXON. SHE IS SURVIVED BY THREE DAUGHTERS, MONICA ELLZEY BROOM, GEORGIA ELLZEY STAMPLEY, AND MEGAN ELLZEY; A SON, RICHARD (LISA) ELLZEY; SIX GRANDCHILDREN, AND FIVE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.
