Ruby Breakfield Smith, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at the age of 92. She was a lifelong resident of Columbia and lifelong member of Baylis Chapel United Methodist Church. Miss Ruby was talented and artistic, loved to travel, was a skilled seamstress, and a wonderful cook. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Lee Breakfield, Jr. and Robert C. Smith; parents, Willie Lee and Willie Mae Quimby a sister, Ruthie Lee Engel; and a brother, Eugene Quimby. Miss Ruby is survived by two daughters, Shirley Aultman and husband, Harold and Judy Dunn and husband, Denny; a son, Richard G. “Ricky” Breakfield and wife, Shelia; six grandchildren, Jammie Cook, Benji Cook and wife, Misty, Sandra Wallingford and husband, Spence, Patrick Dunn, Robert Breakfield, and Alecia Breakfield; and ten great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation for Miss Ruby from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Ryan Freeman, will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Old Brushy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery assisted by Robert Breakfield, Benji Cook, Denny Dunn, Patrick Dunn, Harold Aultman, and Spence Wallingford serving as pallbearers.
