Shannon Machell Broom, of Kokomo, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the age of 42. She enjoyed puzzles, playing games, and spending time with family and friends relaxing around a fire. Shannon was a loving, caring, giving person who devoted her life to her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donnie Johnson and Janice Green. Shannon is survived by her husband, Douglas Allen Decker; a daughter, Destiny McNabb; two sons, Christian McNabb (Amelia) and Tyler McNabb (Olivia); a sister, Lisa Fillingame; a brother, Jason Fillingame (Jill); three grandchildren, Octavia McNabb, Braxton McNabb, and Braydyn Stewart; and fur baby, Lilly Michelle Decker.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
