Sylvia Maxwell Peak, age 83 passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at her residence in Columbia, MS. She worked as a housekeeper and was of the Church of God faith.

Mrs. Peak was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Peak; a son, Mark Peak; parents, Vester Maxwell and Etta Grimsley Maxwell; sisters, Lavester Breakfield, and Tammer Roberts; and brothers, Curtis Maxwell, Leonard Maxwell, and Ellzey Maxwell. Survivors include three daughters, Judith Priest (James), Wanda Peak, and Deborah Moorman; four sons, David Peak (Freddie), Freddie Thomas Peak, Phillip Peak (Dana), and Paul Peak; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery in Columbia.
