Wayne Clinton, age 74 of Columbia, MS passed away at Columbia Health and Rehab on Thursday, June 8, 2023. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving in the Philippines and retired from AT&T after 35 years of employment.
Mr. Clinton was preceded in death by his parents Charles Clinton and Valco Jordan Clinton; and a grandson, Harry Dale Stringer, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Peggy Clinton of Columbia; daughters, Shelly Stringer (Dale) of Foxworth, MS, and Candice Clinton of Hattiesburg, MS; sons, James C. Clinton of Columbia, and Christopher Clinton of Hattiesburg; sisters, Jeannie Hogan, and Wanda Clinton, both of Hattiesburg; a brother, Kenny Clinton (Denise) of Hattiesburg; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Clinton will be celebrated privately by his family.
