Wendy Fortenberry, of Foxworth, Mississippi and lifelong resident of Marion County, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the age of 42. Wendy was a hard worker and owned a lawn service business. She enjoyed anything outdoors from working in yards to playing softball. She was outgoing, goodhearted, giving, and just fun to be around. Wendy was also very creative and enjoyed creating and selling crafts.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gayle Forbes. Wendy is survived by her husband, Greg Fortenberry; a daughter, Jaycee Fortenberry; a step-daughter, Brandy Van Peski; her father, Joseph “Joey” O’Quin; two brothers, Shaun O’Quin and Thomas (Allison) O’Quin; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral service for Wendy will be at Colonial Funeral Home on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 2:00pm. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00pm until service time. Burial will follow in Foxworth Cemetery.
