Andrew Martin Trusz

Andrew (Andy) Martin Trusz, 63, of West Columbia, South Carolina, (formally of Colchester, CT) passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2025. Born on October 2,1962, in New Brunswick NJ to the late Irma and Stanley Trusz. Andy lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, and a generous spirit.


Andy was the proud owner of Beautiful Creations Landscape and Hardscape, where his passion for working outdoors and creating beautiful spaces touched the lives of many clients and friends. Before launching his own business, he spent many dedicated years with TrueGreen, where he was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help colleagues whenever needed.


An avid lover of the outdoors, Andy enjoyed long walks, landscaping, and being active in nature. He cherished spending time outside—whether tending to gardens, walking and playing with his dogs when living in Colchester, or simply soaking in the beauty of the world around him. He had a warm, gentle soul and was always ready to offer help, a listening ear, or a kind word to anyone in need. Andy enjoyed cooking and hosting picnics at his house in Colchester, making wonderful meals and playing card games with friends and family.

Even though he had lived in the south for many years, he still considered himself a “quiet old school Connecticut Yankee.” While in South Carolina Andy enjoyed spending time at church, attending bible study, and volunteering at the local thrift shop.

Andy’s generosity, compassionate heart, and easygoing nature made him beloved by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, business associates, and the many people whose lives he touched.


He is survived by 5 siblings, as well as his 2 children and a grandchild.

A celebration of Andy’s life will be held at a later date. In honor of his giving spirit, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to His House Ministries, a local organization in West Columbia, SC, dedicated to helping those in need.
