Arthur E. Asbill (Sonny), 81, of Chappells, SC died November 23, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 16, 1943 in Greenwood, SC, he was the son of the late Clayton and Emma Deloach Asbill.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Blalock Asbill; daughters, Janesca Hazel and Elizabeth Ann Davis (Mike); grandchildren, Sloan Hazel (Baylee), Nicole Davis, and Jacob Davis; and three great-granddaughters, Kyla, Ari, and Emma.
He was a graduate of Greenwood High School, Piedmont Technical College, a Vietnam Navy Veteran, and retired from Mack Trucks, where he was a paint supervisor.
Mr. Asbill was predeceased by his sister, Daisy Asbill Bell, and son-in-law, Scott Hazel.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the home of his daughter in Newberry.
