Born in Columbia, South Carolina on December 11, 1967, she was a 1985 graduate of Irmo High School and a 1990 graduate of the College of Journalism at the University of South Carolina.
Barbara was a loving mother to her two daughters, Kennedy Sinclair Rose of Lexington and Addison Elizabeth Rose of Bluffton, SC.
She was employed by the Palmetto Retina Center of West Columbia.
Her fondest memories were of time spent raising her beloved daughters.
The family celebrated her life in a small service held at Lexington United Methodist Church on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
She is survived by her daughters, Kennedy Rose and Addison Rose and her mother Sammie DeWitt Brown, of Lexington. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Keys (Brian) and her brother Charles Bennett Brown, III (Hillary).
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Charles Bennett Brown, Jr.
The family extends their appreciation and support from Lexington United Methodist Church.
